Wellness
Dining
At Fairmount, residents enjoy the comfort and convenience of having delicious meals and welcoming gathering spaces right on campus. Inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Lancaster County, our dining options feature a variety of wholesome favorites along with seasonal specialties and fresh ingredients. Whether sharing a meal with friends, hosting family, or simply enjoying the ease of not having to cook, on-site dining adds both convenience and community to everyday life. It’s one more way Fairmount enriches the lives of those we serve.
Chaplaincy
The spiritual well-being of our residents and team members is a vital priority at Fairmount Homes. To help meet these needs, Chaplain Eugene Weaver provides counseling, reads Scripture and prays with residents, and visits them in the hospital when they are ill. He also coordinates Sunday chapel services and resident Bible studies. During times of crisis or transition, he works closely with other departments to ensure residents receive the care and support they need.
Pet Therapy
For many residents, the companionship of animals brings a sense of comfort and familiarity. At Fairmount, pet therapy and animal visits help create a homelike atmosphere while providing opportunities for connection. From birds in resident lounge areas to visits from pets brought by families and team members, these special companions brighten the community each day.
Libraries
Fairmount’s libraries offer a welcoming retreat where residents can relax, connect, and be inspired. Residents can explore faith-based writings alongside practical and educational resources that support lifelong learning. Whether gathering with neighbors for shared interests or enjoying a peaceful moment alone, the libraries invite reflection and connection. They are warm, inviting spaces where learning and community come together.
Woodworking
Woodworking is a favorite pastime for many Fairmount residents, offering opportunities for creativity, craftsmanship, and fellowship. Whether working in a home workshop or the community woodworking shop at Farm Crest, residents enjoy creating beautiful and practical pieces with their hands. Many generously share their talents beyond their own projects, volunteering countless hours to build items that benefit Fairmount and support ministries.
Farm Crest Gift Shop
Fairmount’s Farm Crest Gift Shop is a convenient and inviting space where residents can browse a variety of everyday essentials, books, snacks, seasonal items, and unique handcrafted gifts made by fellow residents. Operated by dedicated resident volunteers, the shop reflects the spirit of service and community found throughout Fairmount. Best of all, every purchase supports Fairmount’s Sharing Fund, helping provide care for residents who have exhausted their financial resources.
